Workers’ Compensation Defense
Scott Schreiber and his partner, Joe Garofalo, founded the law firm of Garofalo, Schreiber & Storm, Chtd. in 1984. Scott has over thirty-three years of experience defending workers’ compensation cases before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Scott graduated from Valparaiso University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1981 where he was recipient of the Charles Vaughn Memorial Award for Trial Advocacy and served as the managing editor of the law review. Many of his clients have been with him his entire legal career.
Scott has lectured on the subject of workers’ compensation defense to various business groups, insurance carriers, and employers. He was been a presenter at Textron’s Work Comp Boot Camp and most recently at the 2014 Workers’ Compensation forum.
Scott and his wife, Sue, are active members of their church where they lead fundraising efforts for Vidi Humana, a charitable organization committed to caring for AIDS patients in Mozambique, Africa.
